Feathers for the Guys

Continuing the challenge I set for myself (to keep using Hero Arts February 2018 kit to create cards), I created this card using the sketch over at  Cardz4Guyz challenge.

I spritzed the background with Hero Arts Ink Spray (Pool) and colored the feathers with the inks that came with the kit and also Ombre Mermaid. After cutting the feathers with the dies that came with the kit, I placed them on the spritzed panel using the sketch as a guide. The sentiment is from GinaK Designs.  I then placed the panel onto the card base (sorry don’t know which card stock that is).

In addition to Cardz4Guyz I would like to participate in the following challenges:

As You Like It – Single or Multiple (layers). Single, I like clean and simple cards.
4 Crafty Chicks – Just add a Sentiment
Through the Purple Haze – Anything Goes

Thanks for stopping by.

Lots of Layers and a Sketch

For today’s card I used this week’s sketch over at Try Stampin On Tuesday. I also used lots of layers which is the challenge over at  4 Crafty Chicks. Here is the card:

The image is from Tiddly Inks (Annabelle and Puppy Love). I coordinated all the colors with papers from my stash and colored the image with copics.

I will be participating in both the challenges mentioned above and this card will be going to Send A Smile for Kids (I am a shipper).

Angels Voices

I have been so busy receiving cards and packing boxes for shipments to Children’s Hospitals (SAS4KIDS) for the holidays. I took a break today to make a few cards.

One of our card makers for SAS4KIDS is on the Design Team at Tuesday Throwdown and I have been making an effort to participate in their challenges. Debi is a faithful contributor to SAS4KIDS. I had the pleasure of meeting Debi, Sybilla and Eileen this past summer and I was so blessed and motivated with our visit — they refer to themselves as the “Three Musketeers”. Our card makers are so generous. My goal is to introduce SAS4KIDS to as many hospitals as I can so we can put more smiles on those sweet faces.

So here is my card to be entered into Tuesday Throwdown (use ribbons and lace):

Verve Stamps/dies used, colored a little with copics and on the wings I used Zig Wink of Stella gold marker. The ribbon and lace are from my stash.

In  addition to Tuesday Throwdown I would like to participate in the following challenges:

Crafting by Design – Anything Goes
4 Crafty Chicks – Anything Goes
Craftaholics R Us – Anything Goes

Thanks for stopping by. Have a wonderful weekend.
