On the side bar I list that I am a member of Live Love Cards. I have been a member for about 2 years. I learn so much from everyone in this card community. I signed up to share in the birthday club. When you sign up you are sent a list of everyone that has a birthday in the same month as yours. This second card I made for Gail. I am so encouraged to make new friends through our (all) card making community (communities).
This set is by far the most I use for feminine birthday cards. It is from Poppy Power. I think I purchased the background paper from Michael’s. The background paper seemed to overwhelm the card so I added a velum layer over top to soften it a bit. It was easy to adhere the vellum with the ribbon accent through the middle. I used Copics to color the image. I created the tag using a Tonic corner rounder. Ribbon is from Stamps of Life.
Happy Birthday Gail my new friend from Live Love Cards!
Happy September! September is the most wonderful time of the year. End of summer, back to school, goodbye heat, hello changing and falling leaves. We have so many birthdays in September (including mine). I made this birthday card for someone on my list.
The sentiment and step up die are from Stamps of Life. The characters and flowers are from GinaK Designs, the ribbon was in my stash and the falling leaves were created using a punch.
SAS4Kids challenge this time is for a CAS (Clean and Simple) card. Here is a card I recently made for another one of the many September and October birthdays coming up. I always make two because one is for me and the other goes to Send A Smile 4 Kids (I am a shipper).
Stamps of Life Die Hard Club member set for March 2017 was used. I am really enjoying products in my arsenal which I haven’t had time to play with. All products used making this card are from SOL.
Here is another card I made using the Stamps of Life Donuts 2 Stamp set. My grand daughter loves pink frosted donuts. I am a shipper for Send A Smile 4 Kids and I know that the kids at the hospitals will find this a funny (punny) card.
I also used MFT die for the green polka dotted mat and the paper I had in my stash. Thanks for stopping by and have a blessed weekend.
I will be entering this card into the following challenges:
I am a shipper for SAS4KIDS and I love the Stamps of Life stamps/dies to make cards for the kids. They are all so cute. For today’s card I used the fish 2 stamp set. This card will be going to St. Christopher’s Hospital Philadelphia.
I am getting into Fall, Halloween and Thanksgiving mode right now because of my involvement with Send A Smile 4 Kids (I am a shipper); however, some of my family (grandchildren in tow) have just left for the Outer Banks (hope Hurricane Gert does not affect them) for a week of beach and fun so I couldn’t help but make this Encouragement Card for SAS4KIDS.
Stamps of Life stamps/dies were used (check out their Die Hard Club) and I believe I got the fishy paper from AC Moore and the embossing folder used was Darice “Dot Point”. I find looking for challenges that meet my card idea overwhelming! Therefore, I am just posting this because I love to make kids smile! May God lead you to my blog.
There are about 5,000 different species of ladybugs in the world. These much loved critters are also known as lady beetles or ladybird beetles. They come in many different colors and patterns, but the most familiar in North America is the seven-spotted ladybug, with its shiny, red-and-black body. In many cultures, ladybugs are considered good luck. Today’s Card:
Ladybug stamp from GinaK; greeting and ribbon Stamps of Life; Simply Charmed Cuttlebug Embossing Folder. The card will be going to Send A Smile 4 Kids.
This is my first attempt at a Gate Fold Card and it is very basic. I know this is an old technique but it is one I have never tried. I always have a hard time with getting things straight and even. Whenever I tried these folded cards in the past they were put away in the most used tool in my work room (the trash). With the help of a scor pal I was able to get this card to fold exactly where it should. So here is my basic Gate Fold Card:
I cannot believe how long it has been since I’ve posted. Maybe because I haven’t had the time to make any cards. Well those days are over. I have my mojo back and it came when I received this month’s die hard club set called donut2stamp from Stamps of Life.
I used an ivory card base and MFT Blueprint 27 to create the window. I used a white gel pen to add the sprinkles. I am not sure where the paper is from but when I saw it in my stash I knew it went perfectly with the theme.
