I hope you find inspiration while visiting my website (aka my blog).
My name is Anne Slattery and I have been married for 40 years and live in Bristol, PA. I am the mother of three adult children of whom I am very proud. I am “Grammy” to two handsome grandsons an eleven year old and two year old and a gorgeous nine year old granddaughter.
I started scrapbooking in 1995 and I switched to digital scrapbooking several years ago. I use Photoshop Elements and learned most of what I know about digital scrapbooking by becoming a member of National Association of Digital Scrapbookers. Now I am a card maker for worthy causes. I started donating cards I created to Operation Write Home, a non profit organization formed to send hand made cards to the troops overseas so that they could send them to their loved ones here at home. With our troops coming home (heart warming), Operation Write Home has closed and no longer accepts cards.
I seek out nursing homes, senior citizen centers, homeless shelters, and hospitals to ask if there is a need for cards. I make cards for a local church so the pastor can send them for Valentine’s Day to the widows and widowers of the congregation and Mother’s Day Cards to the single moms of the congregation.
My current passion is SAS4Kids. I am a volunteer and accept donated cards for St. Christopher’s Hospital for Children (Philadelphia), Penn State Health Children’s Hospital, Hershey, PA, Nationwide Children’s Hospital in Columbus OH and Children’s Hospital at St. Peter’s University in New Brunswick, NJ. I continue to contact hospitals in Pennsylvania, NJ and Delaware to find if there is a need.
I also love to participate in card challenges where I continue to perfect my craft and learn so much from all the wonderful card makers out there. I belong to several Facebook groups which also inspire me and encourages me to keep learning new techniques.
I am about an hour and a half drive to the Amish country in Lancaster, PA. I enjoy sightseeing by driving the back roads and visiting the many unique scrapbooking and stamp stores in that area, where I get inspired, learn new things and see many new products on the market.
I have met some wonderful paper crafters through having this blog and I love interacting with everyone.
